A bourgeois greyhound confesses how he went from filmmaker to quadruped: Because he doesn't get any funding at the moment, JULIAN finds himself forced to take a job as a harvest helper. It becomes increasingly difficult for Julian to perform the communist filmmaker, plus a model worker with American dreams gets in his way, a mute monk with magical powers and a crack in the bowl makes an appearance, the plantation owner is accidentally killed, and an attempted revolution ends in perplexity. Then the sparrows in the trees come up with an outrageous plan....
