Jan Bonny is a German film and theatre director. His films (Gegenüber, Wintermärchen, Wir wären andere Menschen, u.a.) have been shown in Cannes, Locarno, Berlin, Busan, etc. Nominations and awards, at Camera d'Or, European Film Award, German Film Critics Award, Grimme Institute, Oberhausen, etc. Joint works with Alex Wissel (Single, Rheingold, etc.) were shown at mumok Vienna, Haus der Kunst Munich, Kölnischer Kunstverein, Julia Stoschek Collection. Theatre productions at the Volksbühne Berlin, Schauspielhaus Basel. Studies at KHM Cologne, Binger Lab Amsterdam, Torino Filmlab. Member of the European and German Film Acadamy. Currently working on the Netflix series Cable Cash (AT). Grew up in Düsseldorf.
